Vignette — Dawn at the Siphon

They say the Siphon Warden does not steal coin. He steals questions. Every night, beneath the cracked dome of the Vigil, candidates wake to find one fewer answer in their hearts than they fell asleep with. The Forge calls this attrition. The Warden calls it tithing.
